Ride Information Distance: 40 miles Elevation: 5,200’ Directions: Coming Soon Google Earth: Great Western Loop.kml Ride Summary: This is a great climbing Loop offering over 5,000 feet of vertical in a relatively short distance. Starting in Rancho San Diego is a great place, there is a lot of parking and several restaurants including a Starbucks to fill up before and after the ride. Bring an extra water bottle, this area is pretty desolate. This is a loop so you can go either way, I prefer to do the north side first.
